Sing with freedom and support

*Have you always wanted to take lessons but were afraid to start?

*Has your child been asking to take lessons, yet you didn’t know who to go to?

*Are you looking for a compassionate teacher with the experience and sensitivity to go at the pace of the student, whatever the level?

I work with kids, teens and adults, on any style of music, and at any level of experience. Singing should be fun and come from a place of ease. I have over 20 years of experience, as a classroom music teacher, a private voice instructor, a middle school musical director, a high school vocal coach, and as a professional singer. I will teach you how to get the most from your sound, giving you the tools to enjoy the art and focus on the music, not on your voice or on what isn’t working.

Enjoy singing, improve strength and volume, and fix vocal problems.

Get out of your own way and have fun! Singing can feel hard, when it should be joyful and easy. Let’s play, explore and create a positive space together, and then you will see what your voice can do!

“Ms. Rubens is a compassionate voice teacher who pushes her students to sing to the best of their ability. Through vocal exercises and repertoire, she emphasizes the importance of singing basics while improving vocal quality.” —Annalise V.
